AMD is starting up a rewards program for users of their Gaming Evolved Application. The program, dubbed "AMD Rewards" is a point based system that will reward users for using the Gaming Evolved application. Users can earn Rewards Points for activities like playing games, participating in the community, and using the Gaming Evolved app to optimize games. Then users can browse the Rewards Store in the AMD Gaming Evolved app and spend points on free games, hardware, discounts, sweepstakes entries, and more.

AMD says it is putting up $5 million USD in merchandise. At launch, gamers will be able to redeem points for prizes, such as: Sapphire Technology Radeon R9 Series graphics cards, and free games, ASTRO gaming headsets, GameFly subscriptions, GUNNAR gaming eyewear, discounts and more.

Users can earn points in different ways - by signing up and verifying their emails, every time thay optimize a new game and of course, for playing games. AMD rewards each user with 5 RP the first time he/she fires up a game within a given 24 hours, and then 2 RP every 20 minutes for up to a max of 20 RP per day. Participating in Raptr?s community is another way to earn points.
