The Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 motherboard was a pleasure to work with and if you're an enthusiast you'll love how Gigabyte places mostly everything in easy to reach locations. The large SilentPipe heatsink works very well and keeps the Intel P35 Express Northbridge, ICH9R Southbridge and MOSFETs nice and cool.

The positives of the 8800 Ultra are that it is the fastest video card available bar none. The 8800 Ultra is an Overclocked 8800 GTX and performs as such. Video cards like the 8800 GTX and Ultra have the capability of doing DirectX 10 games the visual justice that they require.

Most of you will surely know the name Sparkle, and actually it isn't the first time around that we look at a product from Sparkle Computer. After we saw the quite successful introduction of the GeForce 8800 series, it is time to take a step back and look at what the mid-range segment hat to offer. This is again the playground of NVIDIA with their newly released GeForce 8600 series, bringing the DirectX 10 technology to all who couldn't afford the high-end version. Actually, NVIDIA did launch more then one mid-range card, but the most in favor is certainly the GeForce 8600 GTS edition. Sparkle actually had their card ready from day one, although all just following the reference design.

The fact is that the 8600 is a "quarter" of the 8800. We do not mean dimensions, of course, but technologies and GPU capabilities. 128 stream processors of 8800 vs. 32 of 8600. 32 texture units vs. 16 (tests indicate there's only 8). 384-bit bus vs. 128-bit bus. And so forth.

The Evesham Zieo N500-HD conforms to the Centrino Duo certification, and pleasingly is the first notebook we've seen to feature a Turbo Memory module - in this case a 1GB one. As a result there's been a fair amount of extra testing to do, since we've tested this system with Turbo Memory enabled and disabled to get an idea of how/if it performs. Later on I'll also be taking a look at whether it improves system boot-up speed, one of the mooted improvements it should provide.

After having used a handful of notebook coolers that use rigid bodies with fans to get the job done, the iXoft is obviously the quietest, easiest to setup, most portable, and still quite effective. The somewhat mysterious and scientific nature of Thermaltake's heatshift technology makes the iXoft even more appealing, as it is just that much different than the typical cooler.

DDR-3 is now coming to the desktop thanks again to Intel. DDR-3 in its early form has been shown to not only outperform DDR-2 at clock for clock speeds (something DDR-2 could not do over DDR-1), but DDR-3 is able to clock higher than DDR-2 could ever dream of, in fact we managed 1500MHz DDR-3 speeds in our recent tests. Today we are stepping back from DDR-3 and looking at some DDR-2 modules from Crucial Technology. While DDR-3 is the future for Intel platforms, DDR-2 is still the mainstream product for Intel as well as the only memory technology currently supported by AMD and its Athlon 64 processors which have memory controllers on the CPU.

This compact appliance supports up to 10 SSL VPN tunnels but can be upgraded to 25 tunnels. It comes with a quad of switched Fast Ethernet ports and a single RJ-45 WAN port, which can be connected to a broadband modem or to an existing gateway. It has its own SPI/NAT firewall so can front an Internet connection, or you can drop it into a DMZ behind an existing firewall.

This is a Tri-band mobile with GPRS and is a small format flip phone with inner and outer screens. It feels rather nice in the hand thanks to its rounded shaping, and it should slot nicely into most pockets being just 87mm tall, 45mm wide and 19.8mm thick. When the flip is opened it extends to about 158mm tall and it feels quite comfortable to hold to the ear during voice calls.

Elsewhere, the 7K1000 has all the features you would expect from a modern hard drive; spindle speed is 7,200rpm, the interface is 3Gbps SATA-II, and it supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ). The onboard data buffer is a whopping 32MB and it even has a legacy Molex power connector - something the Seagate doesn't have - for those of us with ailing power supplies.

If you're wondering by now what the hell happened to the review of Panasonic's new 32in LCD TV you thought you were supposed to be reading, don't worry. We haven't lost the plot. It's just that the 32LXD70 is Panasonic's first attempt at a 100Hz LCD TV, so we thought we'd kick off by 'setting the scene', as it were.

It runs Windows Mobile 6 and is Quad-band with HSDPA at up to 3.6Mbps. You won't find a UK operator offering more than 1.8Mbps at the moment, but there's nothing like a bit of future-proofing, is there? It has 96MB of RAM and 256MB of internal storage memory and a microSD card slot is on the upper left edge of the casing. A 2-megapixel camera with flash caters for shooting photos and video, the latter at 30 frames a second. Very annoyingly given that little list, there is Bluetooth but no Wi-Fi.

SilverStone makes some of the best HTPC cases money can buy. We have reviewed many cases from their Lascala line, the LC20, LC17, and LC14. SilverStone has released a new line called the Grandia Series. Today we will be looking at the flagship case from the Grandia Series the GD01MX. The GD01MX has just about everything you would want in a HTPC case, so let's take a look!

While a fair amount of effort went into making Spiderman 3 look the part of a next gen title, little else can be said that separates it from its former gen console predecessors.

CoolingWell's Vortex V14 800W power supply is truly a unique product. It may not boast to be the best of the best or have rock solid rails, but for the price of $115, this unit truly is an unbeatable buy, especially for those who need a lot of power but are on a tight budget.
