Along with the Samsung SCH-u620, this is one of two phones that you can watch Live TV on using V CAST Mobile TV. That's live TV on your cell phone, broadcast like regular TV using a technology called FLO TV from a company called MediaFLO, a subsidiary of QUALCOMM. Of the two phones, this is the superior model and not only because of its unique (in the U.S. at least) swivel T-bar screen that swings 45 degrees perpendicular from the phone's body from portrait to landscape mode, but because it has a slightly larger screen that gives a tad-bit better TV picture. The VX9400 also runs TV longer and offers slightly speedier EV-DO service. At $199.99 US with the usual contract stipulations and rebates, it's also $50 more expensive.

LG's new Tri-band slider phone is called the Shine KE970, but I'm going to call it the Shine from here on in. The first thing I noted about the Shine was that it was well named. Its brushed stainless steel casing is very eye-catching. The main screen on the front of the handset at first glance looks like a mirror, which is actually a little disconcerting. When the phone's screen isn't active and you hold the handset up you can see yourself clearly.

Who's already tired of this Blu-ray/HD-DVD format war? Well, LG has the solution for you! Behold the Super Multi Blue Player. We had the priviledge of meeting with the good folks at LG to have a sneak peak at what's sure to be the first of many solutions to this ridiculous format war.

The LG GBW-H10N looks pretty much like any other DVD writer apart from the Blu-ray Disc logo on the right side of the tray. The GBW-H10N will write BD-R discs at 4x, BD-RE media at 2x, DVD-R at 12x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD+R at 12x, DVD+RW at 8x (media permitting) and DVD-RAM at 5x.

Its two HDMI inputs are in line with what most rivals are offering in the digital HD department these days, and they're backed up by the component jacks demanded by the HD Ready spec list; a D-Sub PC input; a very healthy three Scarts; an RS 232C control/service jack; and even - remarkably for this money - two sockets that reveal the presence of a built-in digital tuner. These are a CI slot for adding subscription TV service cards, and a digital audio output for piping potential Dolby Digital broadcasts to a suitable receiver.

There. I've said it. This is a phone with a camera that's actually worth having. Now don't get me wrong here: if I bought this handset I would still want a separate digital camera, and there are things about the camera that I don't like at all. But nonetheless, you can take photos with it that you would be prepared to share, keep and even get printed at A4.

When you see TVs like LG's 37LB1DB, it really is no surprise that Korea has stolen Japan's TV thunder (not to mention a hefty chunk of its market share). The 37LB1DB is, in a word, gorgeous. First, there's the all-over high-gloss, jet-black finish. Then there's the unusual chunky little base the TV perches on, which rotates smoothly on the flat foot beneath, despite its bulk. And last but not least, there's the achingly cute way a little blue-on-black LED at the top of the base illuminates to show you which AV input you?re watching. The retro chic effect this little LED produces possibly owes some debt of gratitude to the design of LG's KG810 mobile phones - and there?s certainly no harm in that.

Not satisfied with the standard 2.0 or 3.2megapixel phones that are currently in the market, LG has decided to raise the bar by introducing a 5.0-megapixel GSM phone - the LG KG 920.

Cingular's first HSDPA phone is the LG CU500, available for the bargain price of just $79.99 with a contract and rebates. But is it too good to be true?

There is a lot to like here, but also a lot that frustrates. Leave the wheel alone and you should find navigating easier. Abandon the LG earbuds for your own headset and you should also be more comfortable. If you can learn to live with the short battery life you'll enjoy the very acceptable quality of the music output.

Is it possible to have a music player as good as the Apple iPod in a cell phone? LG certainly gives it a try with an end result that impresses.

After numerous delays that prompted speculations about its chances of winning the format war against the rival HD DVD standard, Blu-ray drives are starting to appear in the market. We finally managed to get one from LG that is capable of a record 4x Blu-ray write speed. Read on for our impression of this new drive.

There's no doubt in our mind that the L1900 series of monitors is a refreshing step away from the usual approaches to the design of LCD monitors. Bearing in mind that there are three different designs to choose from and most of our expectations were met, credit has to be given to LG for daring to be bold and different. The beneficiaries are of course consumers and if you've been meaning to jazz up your desktop or study room, then we say you need not look any further.

The tri-band Chocolate KG800 is the first in LG?s Black Label series of design lead handsets, and others are promised. In fact, we?ve already seen a white version of the Chocolate. Visually the Chocolate KG800 is certainly different. It is not, as you might expect, brown, but a rather shiny black. Visually it looks much more like a portable music player than a handset, albeit about a third bigger than an iPod nano or Sandisk Sansa player at 95mm tall, 48mm wide and 15.2mm thick. As you?d expect from such tiny dimensions, this handset is light at just 83g.
