The drive burnt the MKM 04RD30 DVD-R DL disc at 12x using a CAV writing strategy, resulting to an overall burning time comparable to that we had when we burned the MKM 03RD30 disc at 12x, using Z-CLV. Samsung's upcoming vSB01 firmware upgrade is also expected allow the drive to use the Z-CLV strategy with the new 12x DVD-R DL discs.

Generally the quality reported seems to be good, although the measurements were not taken in the complete area of the disc. For the areas measured, the digital errors were low enough to be corrected. The disc was also fully readable.
