The PlexWriter 24/10/40A writes with 24x, rewrites with 10x and reads with 40x and comes with free two years warranty - only valid in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The recommended end-user price for the retailversion (excl. VAT) is 259 Euro ($220).

The PlexWriter 24/10/40A uses Z-CLV (Zone Constant Linear Velocity)technology to achieve 24x, and has the BURN-Proof Technology, putting an end to annoying buffer under-run errors. Another feature is Plextor's unique PoweRec II technology that checks the quality of the CD media and automatically selects the optimum writing speed. This assures the highest quality result.

The PlexWriter 24/10/40A will be available from August 2001 in retail and bulk versions.
