Ritek announced $100 million expansion plan!


"...Ritek today announced a $100 million, 300 employee North American expansion plan through its California-based joint venture partner MRT Technology LLC. MRT Technology, based in City of Industry, Calif., will begin implementing the two-phase expansion immediately.

Ritek and MRT Technology anticipate that the expansion plan over the next two years will ultimately add approximately 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space to the company's North American presence. MRT Technology, established in California in 1996, currently employs over 200 people in Southern California on CD replication and CD-R and DVD production lines.

Key clients currently include major Internet service providers (ISPs), software companies, and several major media distribution companies. MRT Technology's new plant will be located in Ontario, approximately 40 miles east of Los Angeles. The expansion includes immediate occupation of a 60,000-square-foot building and construction of an adjacent build-to-suit facility for completion in 2001..."
