OCZ Releases Vertex 3 LP SSD

OCZ has added a low profile version of the Vertex 3 to their SSD portfolio.

The drive has a height of 7mm and will be available in 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB versions. Its specifications match those of a regular Vertex 3: SATA 6Gb/s, 2Xnm MLC NAND, sequential read 535MB/s ~ 550 MB/s depending on the capacity, sequential write 480MB/s ~ 520MB/s and Max 4K random write 85K IOPS for the 120GB and 240GB versions of the SSD.

With increasingly thinner notebooks dominating the industry, the new 7mm height form factor easily integrates into the latest mobile computing platforms.

Vertex 3 SSDs come backed by a 3-Year Warranty.
