Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) will release a 24-inch 3D Display for Japan available from November 2, 2011. The 3D Display comes bundled with 3D Glasses, an HDMI cable (2.0m) and will become available at a recommended retail price (RRP) of 44,980 yen ($581.4). 3D Glasses included in the 3D Display bundle will also be sold separately, with the release of the 3D Display, at a RRP of 5,980 yen ($77.3).

The 24-inch full HD 3D LCD display adopts quad-speed the frame sequential display technology that minimizes crosstalk. The display supports also several 3D formats, including "frame packing," "top and bottom" and "side by side," which will offer users various options for enjoying 3D.

Other features include a contrast ratio of 5000:1, an 176 degree viewing angle and a 4ms GTG average response time.

The 3D Display also adopts stereo 2ch+subwoofer speakers incorporated on the sides of the screen and a subwoofer on the backside of the screen.

The edge backlight LED Display is 35 mm thin (excludes largest projection).

The 3D Glasses come with a rechargeable lithium ion battery to enable quick charging. A three minute charge results in three hours of use, while a 45 minute charge provides 30 hours of use, according to Sony.

Along with 3D Glasses, the 3D Display comes bundled with an HDMI cable (2.0m) to provide high-definition 3D entertainment out of the box. The display adopts two HDMI input connectors, allowing users to connect the display to the PS3 system as well as to other HDMI-supported device. Other devices can be connected to the 3D Display by using a component input connector. BR>
A proprietary technology allows two players playing a multi-player game to see individual full-screen 2D images of gameplay using the bundled 3D Glasses and a supported software title.

For Japan, SCEJ continues to expand the new gameplay along with variety of upcoming new stereoscopic 3D titles including RESISTANCE 3, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War: Origins Collection, Ratchet & Clank All 4 One, UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception from SCE.

DualShock 3 Wireless Controller Bundle pack

Sony also today announced that it would release "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception DUALSHOCK 3 Bundle Pack" for a limited offer on November 2, 2011, concurrently with the release of the software title, at a recommended retail price of 9,980 yen (including tax). The bundle pack comprises a special DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception software titles for PlayStation 3.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is the third installment of the Uncharted series which has sold more than 8 million units to date worldwide.

DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller included in this bundle pack comes with a special design that resembles an old map that appears in the story printed on its body, matching with the world concept of the game.

In November, Sony will also release a new "Urban Camouflage" color for DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller for the PlayStation 3 at a recommended retail price (RRP) of 5,500 yen (including tax).

The DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller in the new "Urban Camouflage" color has been designed for first-person shooter fans.
