LG To Unveil New Monitors And 3D Sound System at IFA

LG will be taking the wraps off its new high-end monitors ? the ultra-slim E91 and D237IPS - at IFA 2011 in Ber-lin, Germany.

The company will also have on display its new CINEMA 3D Sound HTS whose 9.1 speaker system.

Stylish 3D monitors

The E91's 7.2 mm depth and luxurious acryl finish are sure to make it a hit with style-savvy consumers while the D237IPS boosts LG's Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) 3D display technology on IPS panels, for clearer 3D images.

With its super-slim, 7.2mm depth and a bezel measuring just 4.35mm bezel, the E91 takes up the minimum of space. It's hanger-type hinge design also makes it easy for users to adjust the monitor to the exact viewing angle they need.

The E91's SUPER+ Resolution technology prevents any decrease in resolution during format upgrades, while sharpening blurry edges and adding new life to dim colours. The E91 also delivers a vivid picture thanks to a contrast ratio of more than 10,000,000:1.

The D237IPS's has received a "Flicker-Free" certification from European quality assurance agencies TuV and Intertek, ensuring less dizziness and headaches while watching 3D contents. The monitor featureds a brightness of 100nits and comes bundled with LG's battery-less 3D glasses.

Ensuring viewers always have plenty of 3D content to watch, the D237IPS also features an excellent 2D to 3D conversion function.

Cinema 3D HX906TX sound system

LG Electronics will be also thrilling IFA 2011 with the HX906TX, its all-new CINEMA 3D Sound HTS whose 9.1 speaker system . The HX906TX delivers 360-degree sound that envelopes viewers in audio - both horizontally and vertically.

The key feature in creating the HX906TX's sound is its 9.1 speaker system, which adds four Upright 3D Speakers to the conventional 5.1 channels on a home theatre system. With 10 speakers in total delivering an optimized, multi-directional audio, the HX906TX promises to create an immersive sound that is also powerful enough to capture the delicate background sounds of everyday life.

By sitting on top of the Tallboy speaker units, the Upright 3D Speakers further enrich the audio by pumping sound upward, ensuring that the vertical space is completely filled with sound. In addition, a 360-degree Reflector inside each of the Upright 3D Speakers reflects sound in all directions.

By applying LG's 3D effect DSP algorithm, Sound Field Expansion technology further expands the horizontal sound field, and works in harmony with the Upright 3D Speakers to create a 360-degree sound experience. Sound Field Expansion extends the audio "sweet spot" so viewers always feel as if they are right in the middle of the sound, even when they're gathered together in larger groups. Moreover, the 3D Sound Analyzer analyzes complex layers of original sound, adding sound information to any empty space.

Among its array of other features, the HX906TX boasts 3D Blu-ray Playback that delivers 3D images in full, 1,080p HD. The player is producing 3D images with 12-bit, 4,096-step gradation.

The HX906TX's cubic, slim-line design combines a metallic silver hairline with a glossy texture to create a unit that complements any living room or lounge.

The HX906TX also comes with LG's Smart TV functions and users only need to download an app to turn their Android or iPhone smartphone into a remote control for the HX906TX.

The HX906TX's Wi-Fi Direct enables simple file sharing without the need for a wireless hotspot. The HX906TX can also access and share any content on DLNA-certified digital devices - such as mobile phones, tablets and PCs - while the single HDMI connection means viewers can send or receive audio data via a single HDMI cable. In addition, multi-playback lets the HX906TX support a wide range of media formats, including MKV and DivX HD.

Further ramping up the convenience, Music ID by Gracenote provides simultaneous information on whatever the user is listening to. And an iPhone/iPod cradle lets users enjoy their own personal music libraries via the HX906TX's digital sound.
