Lite-On today presented their new external slim DVD writer with interchangeable cover patterns. The slim-type external DVD burner comes with different top covers allowing users to easily change them according to their mood and style. LiteOn is providing eight different covers for the drive.

The eNAU608 is an 8X DVD burner wrapped in a slim case. The power to the portable drive is provided by USB. The eNAU608 is compatible with all common DVD and CD formats including DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R9, DVD-RAM, DVD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-ROM.

Liteon is bundling a number of pre-printed design templates with the drive, but also includes a simple software application for users to create their personal cover designs. It also comes with the NERO Software Suite, with the cover design software included.

The supported LabelTag function also gives the option of burning text labels onto the burning side of any brand of disc. The eNAU608 also incorporates Lightscribe, which uses the drives laser on compatible discs to produce customized front-side labels.

The eNAU608 is available in Europe at an MSRP of €59.

LiteOn IT USA also today released the new eNAU108 external slim 8X DVD/CD writer. The USB-powered drive weighs just 0.4 pounds and it is compatible with and supports all common DVD and CD formats.

Writing at 8X for DVDs, Smart-Burn is also featured to ensure writing quality for every burn. Smart-X is also included to reduce acoustic noise and vibration.

The eNAU108 is in two colors: black and white, and will be available in the U.S in mid November 2010 with an MSRP of $59.99.
