Sony Releases New Portable DVD Player With LCD Display


Sony will release the "DVP-FX930" portable DVD player in Japan in June, featuring a 9-inch LCD display (800x480).

The display can be rotated for convenient watching. The DVD player is capable of reproducing CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW, DVD±R DL, DVD video, audio CD, MP3, JPEG,. It is equipped with a 12bit/108MHz video DAC.



Connectivity options include USB, composite AV I/O (mini Jack) and the analog audio I/O.

The device is powered by a battery pack enough to offer a continuous reproduction of 6 hours.

Its size is 227?170?34mm (W x D x H),and its weight is 900g. The player is expected to retail in Japan fort about 35,000 Yen ($362).
