46-inch KURO LCD TV makes debut in Europe

The 46-inch KRL-46V LCD TV will be introduced across Europe in October, rounding off the first wave of our new KURO Full HD "HD ready 1080p" LCD TV range.

Like the recently released 32-inch KRL-32V and the 37-inch KRL-37V, our latest LCD model comes with a high-contrast front filter, three HDMI ports and 100Hz processing, adding up to unsurpassed picture quality and an exciting viewing experience.

The KRL-46V is a true visual treat, in terms of picture quality but also in design, combining sleek minimalism with a luxurious two-tone matte black brushed aluminium look.

The result is a sophisticated blend of style and advanced technology that adds a touch of class to any interior. But the beauty of this KURO LCD TV goes far beyond its looks. The superior picture quality of the KRL-46V arises from an intelligent mix of technologies. 100 Hz processing delivers crisp fast action images and gives a unique richness, depth and clarity.

The TV boasts a fast response time of 4 ms, which contributes to clean fast moving video. A special high-contrast filter maximises contrast, colour definition and sharpens the picture. And an automatic backlight adjustment function results in enhanced black levels and deep, accurate colours whereas an ambient light sensor optimises on-screen images according to the brightness of the room.

With 5-step colour temperature selection, the TV can even be adapted to your personal taste.

Captivating entertainment from almost anywhere in the room is guaranteed with the TV's wide viewing scope, while a detachable stand makes it easy to mount the screen onto a wall.

The KRL-46V is labelled Full HD "HD ready 1080p" and is equipped with two HDMI ports in the back for optimum data transfer and one on the side for straightforward connectivity to an HD camera or a game console for example. The HDMI inputs are compatible with 1080p/24 signals from a Blu-ray player, giving access to the latest in high definition video in its original 24 frames per second cadence.

Thanks to KURO LINK a multitude of remote controls on the coffee table is a thing of the past. This feature allows you to control the main functions of other compatible Pioneer equipment with the TV's remote control. A PC input turns the TV into a computer monitor, making it a versatile TV set for home users. And with the combined analogue/digital terrestrial tuner a host of TV programmes can be received in outstanding quality.

To maximize your TV experience with great surround sound, the KRL-46V combines nicely with the LX01 home cinema system. With its discreet, timeless design and brushed aluminium top plate, this all-in-one HDD/DVD recorder system is the perfect visual match for the KRL-46V. The LX01 is KURO LINK compatible, which means the main functions of the LX01 can be controlled with the TV's remote control. Its small speakers produce a 3D sound that heightens the on-screen action so that viewing becomes even more intense.
