New Tester for DVDR/RW from AudioDev

New Tester for DVDR/RW from AudioDev

Optical Storage Apr 21,2006 0

AudioDev announced on Friday the Autoloader, A11 for Go! DVDR/RW media testing. The Autoloader is equipped with 4 drive slots, which allows 4 different writers to be used for the same test batch. The DVDR writers can easily be exchanged, which makes it possible to use many different writer brands to verify DVDR disc behavior.

By connecting any standard PC DVDR writer, the disc/drive compatibility can be verified. Writing speed, writing strategy and bit-rate writing is supported with A11 and Go! DVD R31 with most standard PC writers.

With writers from BenQ and Pioneer it is also possible to perform power series writing in order to verify the power margin of the disc. The Autoloader A11 features 4 configurable input/output disc bins. Each bin can be loaded with 100 discs. Both 120 mm discs and 80 mm discs (optional) can be handled.

"By utilizing the Autoloader A11 with Go! DVD R31 tester, disc manufacturers can improve the efficiency of the optical media test process. With the patented measurement method available in Go! testers - SpeedScan - the testing time is three minutes or less for test of a complete DVDR disc," reads AudioDev's press release.

The Autoloader A11 will be on display at the upcoming MediaTech exhibition in Frankfurt, between May 30 and June 1st.
