CyberLink, HP Demos Blu-ray Burning with HP at IFA Berlin 2005

CyberLink will showcase the latest Blu-ray Disc playback and burning support with HP and the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) at IFA in Berlin, Germany from September 2-7.

CyberLink's playback and burning applications such as PowerDVD, PowerProducer, Power2Go, and InstantBurn will be on display at CyberLink and HP display areas at the BDA booth.

The Blu-ray format includes next-generation technology for storing high definition TV content (HDTV), provides greater storage capacity, and adopts core video formats such as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC. PowerDVD PC playback software and burning applications--Power2Go, InstantBurn, PowerProducer--are Blu-ray ready.

"CyberLink's participation at IFA Berlin with BDA is a great chance to demonstrate our support for key blue-laser burning and playback technologies," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink Corp. "Our showcase along with HP demonstrates our readiness for and capabilities in working with tier-one hardware manufacturers to deliver complete solutions, while communicating the benefits of this next-generation disc media technology."

"We are pleased to be working with CyberLink to exhibit our Blu-ray Disc hardware at this year's IFA in Berlin," said Maureen Weber, general manager, Personal Storage Business, HP. "Consumer demand for recording and enjoying high definition video is rising, and we're excited to demonstrate this advanced technology from HP and CyberLink to our customers to show how easy it is to play and burn Blu-ray Discs."
