Scheduled to hit the market late July, the next dual-layer DVD recorder from Pioneer supports 8x DVD+R/-R DL and 16x DVD+R/-R recording.

Unlike to the expectations of most hardware fans, the specifications of the
new DVR-110 do not include support for Blu-ray. Pioneer continues its developments
of a Blu-ray drive looking at an August timeframe for introduction.
However,
any progress in the format unification issue could make the company change
its developing plans.
