OCZ Technology and ASUS Partner Up to Deliver First 1GHz FSB Memory

OCZ Technology disclosed the collaborative effort between themselves and ASUS to bring the enthusiast community the industry's first motherboard and memory solution rated for 1000MHz.

Together OCZ Technology and ASUS, two industry leaders sought after for their high quality, high performance products, have made a giant leap on an experimental board and broken the 1GHz barrier. By overturning this previously unimaginable obstacle of 1000MHz, OCZ is eager to make this dream a reality for enthusiasts everywhere and expects to release the product as soon as possible.

"We are proud to have gained recognition by ASUS Tek for our superior product line," commented Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "Being able to achieve 1GHz data rate in system memory is marking another milestone event for the PC platform that is only possible through close collaboration between system board and memory manufacturers dedicated to constantly raising the quality and performance bar of their product."

"ASUS is very excited to partner up with OCZ to break the 1000MHz barrier using premium OCZ modules and our cutting edge P5WD2 motherboard," stated Raymond Chen, Vice President of Marketing of ASUS in North America. "Both our companies have always strived to deliver the ultimate products for the most demanding PC environments, and this achievement allows us to offer enthusiasts, gamers, and high power users an unprecedented level of speed and performance in a PC platform, which truly is the fastest total solution on the market today."

Never ceasing to be the first to deliver the most outrageous speeds possible, OCZ Technology Group is on a clear and present path to releasing the industry's first PC2-8000 memory - a ground-breaking landmark for longtime enthusiasts and future ones to come.
