this is what i would like to do take the ps2 hard drive that i have load it through the pc so i can use it on the ps2 then install a hacked copy of hd loader on the hard drive so i never purchase a copy of hd load i spent about 3 hours on google have found that it is possible to take hd loader and install it on a hard through a moded ps 2 but i want to completely hack the ps2 or even take a copy of swap magic load that on there then burn hd loader swap that out take that install it on the hard drive use the hdl dumb this is all going to be done on a un moded ps2

I have used HDL Dumb, I copied the game to the hdd. But it ask for a disc. What disc is it reffering to?

you need HD Loader in order to play games from your HDD,

please forgive me for this, but i have a "hd+network adaptor to pc" installation question:

What does the "device not ready error" mean?

I already formatted the hd with hd loader, but i cannot connect the hd via the network adaptor. I would search through the pages, but after reading up to page 15, i got sick of reading the posts.

Edit Note: I want to clarify that the "device not reader error" appears when i start HDL Dumb. Also, can someone point me where to find the instructions on how to load the game via the router+network adaptor?

Forgive me for the double post and don't mind the previous post.

I bought a hd reader from compusa and i now have a different problem. Whenever i am trying to load a compatible ISO, hdl dumb will go up to 2.6% and it'll stop. A window would pop up and say:

title: Unexpected Error
text: Finish Loading (or something like that)

What is this supposed to mean?

hey, i'm new to the forums, and i am interested in putting a hard drive in my ps2. I got a western digital 40 gb hard drive, that i have taken out of an older computer. I formatted the drive for the ps2 with WinIIP. i downloaded hd loader as an iso file onto my computer. I was wondering if theres a way to open hd loader on my ps2 without having a mod chip. Could i just burn it to a DVD or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not get it.. I know Im off topic but O well.. I just can not get my Hdd to cut on in my ps2. I dont have the disc anymore that came with it and I been all over forums,and all over the web but I cannot find a way to turn it on.Is there any site that I could download some software to get it to work,Will I be able to just use a simple USB cord allso. PLEASE HELP          MEEEE!!!!!

Hey Emperor can u help me please!!!.I got GTA Liberty City S.... and the game loads the begining parts and plays the intro,then it goes black screen.i googled it up and alot of people are haveing problems with it,but aparently updateing hddloader will make it work,i looked for a guide for about 4 hours finding nothing,I have the update files and WHDIIP but i dono what to do with them.I know how to hook up my HD to my computer.Can u possibly post up some screenshots what to chek and what not to chek in program and how to update hdloader to play my GTA?(WHDIIP is what im useing)please and thank you.

i was wondering what the difference is from buying hdadvance/hdloader and burning it. what does pressed version mean. say hypothetically if i had the files shouldnt i be able to make my own by burning them to a cd?

im trying to put on a guitar hero game that i created using score hero. the first one i created went on with no problem. im trying to put on the two more that i created, but its giving me a message like "partition with such name already exists." ichanged the name of it around and it still gave me the same message. any solutions?
