CDRZone -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/16/2004 5:47:45 PM)

RITEK R03-01@12x
Ill try another but this isnt good considering the burns i get on benq 1620@12x
Judging by this i would say 8x max on NEC at present.

RITEK R04-01 ( i will stress this is sample media from 2 months back - not jewel case )

Burnt at 16x fine and passes the test - just! Not bad at all consideriing the lack of a write strat from NEC themselves.

cdrzone-

How do I access that disc quality test in Nero?

Nevermind, found it. It can't be run on a NEC 3500 I take it? The start button is greyed out.

nedder -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/16/2004 10:08:51 PM)

I 22:12:42 Average Write Rate: 12,638 KB/s (9.1x) - Maximum Write Rate: 17,245 KB/s (12.5x)

That's for a Ritek R03 with 2.18 Liggy SE.

bofh -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/17/2004 2:31:31 PM)

how do the new quality scans compare with the regular 2.18 firmware?

randomwalk101 -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/17/2004 2:33:13 PM)

emperor,
is that means that the ritek r04 is better? how do you know if they're r04 etc (cuz of so many diff manuf out there with diff. brands etc)
Also, what happened to the "drop" in the curve? is that bad?

MadMaddy -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/18/2004 12:23:36 PM)

I've got two quick questions...

Does this support 16x burning of ritek g05s? and Is there any sort of ETA for a modded v2.C8 SE firmware?

Props to Liggy for this excellent firmware :)

ubysan -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/21/2004 4:35:40 AM)

What are the write strategies compared to the original 2.18 and 2.19?

Thx

Thanx Liggy & emperor,

you make times great , nec must hire your experitse to make perfect Firm ware.

What i can say that it burns Now the same Platinum 8x (b2 serries) Perfect at 12 speed, and do dit in a time of 6:30 sec from beginnig to end of finalize !!!>
Before with the 2.8cse it burns richo Japan (platinum) at max of 12 speed but falls down to 8.3 and some time i had bad burns or coasters.

Now same spindel that had 25 discs and used 10 on the old firmware burnd at 8 speed now perfect on 12 speed.
Dl traxdata 2,4 now burns 4 speed !!!.

1 Problem i find that i dont get a DVD-RW set as DVD-ROM , your flasher says it is all DVD-Rom but after format a disc (RW) quick or full and with alle the tools (CD SPEED2.55, NERO,6601) and more tools it will not work.

Do anybody knows this problem to fix this or do you need a kind of Brand to chanche Rw- DVD-ROM ??.
Need some help ,so i can do a test dvdRW on my XBOX (read no DVD+rw)
Thanx for the great work, i stick to this firmware beceause perfect burns 12 speed in 6:30 is a perfect time and 100 % perfect discs!!!

marktheshark -> RE: NEC ND-3500A v2.18_Liggy_SE its here! (11/23/2004 6:46:28 AM)

I did a file compare between 2.18 Liggy SE and the firmware posted
by Liggy at cdfreaks, and they're different!

Another thing: I compared the fw I flashed and after dumping it I
got differing files... What's going on?

Probably better, since the above media is overspeeded!

R04 is 16X rated and not supported at all by NEC, we gave you the option to burn them up to 16X with some good results!
