Hi.

New to the forum but so far, looks like lots of great info. No wonder Google ranks this place highly when doing a search for 3500A firmware!

Just got my 3500A (it was a RMA replacement for my old 2500A) and am trying out the different firmwares. The latest one that I'm trying is v2.18_Liggy_SE and it reads my Ritek G05 as 8X only. The previous one that I tried was LD_V1.4 and that one did G05's at 12X. Should 2.18_Liggy_SE do G05's at 12X?

Thanks.

Is this characteristic for the Liggy-firmwares, or are there more or less, no firmwares out there with speed hacks for DVD-R's? I'd like to see a firmware that gives you total freedoom to burn (or atleast try to ;)) your media in whatever speeds you would like. Although I dont know anything about firmwares or firmware-programming, so I'm probably asking for to much.

Ps: If there are any DVD-R speedhacks, please link or give me some names. :)
