It is about time they brought their Prices down to a price that most People can afford ! I cannot find any price over here in the UK yet but as soon as I do it will get Posted !!![:)]

Yeah I checked it as well and like Clint says they are both Retail!!!

Hey Laffin, why is the drive at the site you gave listed as 48x/24x/40x (Internal, EIDE)? Shouldn't it be 48x read speed (I'm sure it's the same drive though)instead of 40x read speed? I just ordered my drive today and I should get it by tomorrow. Provantage.com is an excellent company to deal with as I have shopped with them many times, they don't waste any time getting orders out![:D][:D]

I think they have just made a Typing error you know just like the one you did before you moved this post to here making it 40x instead of 48x Reading !!! [:D][;)]
Also the Link you gave had the same error they are listing at 48x24x40 or at least I hope they have made a Typing Error!!![:)]

It certainly better be a typing error, but I noticed at the Provantage.com site they had the correct (Manufacturer Part # PX-W4824TA/SW) Manufacturer number, which is what Plextor named it!

Well if I'm remember correctly, the drive is actually set to 40x read unless you kick the drive into turbo mode, and then it'll read at 48x.
