I have two internal CD drives. One is a Toshiba DVD and the other is a Phillips CD-RW. Both drives came with my machine (Gateway), which originally ran Windows 98 (first edition).

I recently upgraded to WinXP Pro. Now I am having trouble with both drives. I get a notification that each drive is using drivers that cannot be loaded. Specifically, those drivers are "cdr4_2k.sys" and "cdralw2k.sys." XP is telling me that both drivers are used for Easy CD Creator. But I don't have it installed (although I do have Media Player 7). If I remove these drivers, then the CD drives are not recognized. If I uninstall the drives, then reinstall, the drivers still show up.

What can I do to fix the problem with these drivers?
