be quiet! back in August 2024 announced another "budget" friendly PC case, the Pure Base 501 series. The Pure Base 501 follows in the footsteps of the previous Pure Base 500 series, proving that simplicity can be exciting: useful features and a compact size make Pure Base 501 perfect for any gaming or office PC.

Pure Base 501 is aimed at users looking for a very flexible case with compact dimensions and who appreciate a timeless, traditional design without ARGB features.

The case supports motherboards with ATX, micro-ATX, or mini-ITX form factor, and cooling is handled by two Pure Wings 3 140mm PWM fans in the front and rear of the case. Water cooling radiators are supported up to 360mm and Pure Base 501 supports optional vertical graphics card installation.

A decoupled double HDD cage is included for versatile storage options and the clever cable routing design keeps the interior tidy. Despite its compact dimensions, Pure Base 501 offers more than enough space for high-end graphics cards and large cooling components. For example, you can install a 360mm radiator in the front and have plenty of clearance for most high-end graphics cards. be quiet! has added the option to rotate the PCIe slots and install a 4-slot wide graphics card. The mounting hardware is included, and you only need an optional riser cable. The be quiet! Riser Cable is guaranteed to work with the Pure Base 501, and its foam base provides additional support for the graphics card and minimizes slipping.

Cable management is easy with the integrated cable channels. The SSD mount is attached to a cable bar for the larger cables that are routed to the motherboard and GPU. The backside also features channels to keep the cables out of the way. We also made cleaning the front and bottom dust filters easy. The bottom filter can be pulled out from the front of the case.

The I/O panel features 1 USB Type C and 2 USB Type A connectors, and a total of 2 HDDs and 4 (or 5, if you do not need an HDD) SSDs can be installed.

This new series consists of a total of 5 different models. The first is a classic black version with a solid front and side panel, just like the original Pure Base 500. The other 4 versions come with a mesh front, in black or white, and with a window or a solid side panel. All variants feature a mesh top cover for superior cooling performance. The window of the black version is slightly tinted, while the glass for the white case is clear. Both feature painted sidebars to hide underlying hooks. None of the Pure Base 501 models have any lighting – a decision that no doubt will make many happy.
