Optodisc denies rumor of using Maxell DVD-R code

Optical Storage Sep 30,2004 0

According to DigiTimes, Optodisc Technology has denied a rumor that the company extended the use of MaxellÂ’s DVD-R code from OEM production of DVD-R discs for Maxell to production for other purposes. Optodisc asserted that it never received such information from Maxell, nor does it conduct OEM production of DVD-R discs for Maxell.

The company does, however, OEM produce DVD-RAM discs for Maxell. Optodisc pointed out that its current shipments to Maxell are proceeding normally.
