The retail box of the EPOMAKER HE 68 has a clean design with with several logos on front.

Everything is well protected, the main keyboard is inside a plastic protective shell, while there is foam around the keyboard for transportation protection:

Inside the retail box, you will find the main keyboard, a printed manual, a type-C connection cable (1.6M length), keycap pullers, and two replacement switches.

The HE 68 comes in two available colors (Black Red and White Purple), while both variations cost $50.49. The used switches are called "Epomaker Magnetic Pink Switch" and are based upon Magnets to give instant response and longevity.

While at the HE 75 MAG, EPOMAKER used Gareton magnetic switches, with the HE 68 EPOMAKER used their own branded magnetic switches,

Which are rather inferior compared with the Gareton magnetic versions, at least to our eyes, after gathering features as posted online from both vendors:

Gareton Magnetic Switches Epomaker Magnetic Pink Switch
Total Travel 0.1mm to 4.0 mm, adjustable per 0.01mm 3.5+-0.1mm
Force Travel Force 30 gf 45+-5gf
Initial Force ?? 30gF min
End Force 47±5 gf 55gF Max
Initial Magnetic Flux 102Gs 95+-15GS
Bottom Magnetic Flux 905Gs 580+-50GS
Spring 15mm ??

The HE 68 Magis is a 65% ANSI US layout-sized keyboard and compared with the HE 75 is smaller and misses some keys and the metal knob for media control. The product dimensions are 327.61*112.9*39.85mm (vs 329*140*46cm HE 75) which weight is around ~0.70kg, due to the use of ABS Plastic as the main building material. The Plate Material is Aluminum Alloy based. The PCB Thickness is 1.6mm, while the build material is FR4, a NEMA grade designation for glass-reinforced epoxy laminate material. FR-4 is a composite material composed of woven fiberglass cloth with an epoxy resin binder that is flame-resistant (self-extinguishing). There is also a sound-dampening sandwich foam and a silicon bottom pad on the inside. There is no serious flex due to the strong ABS plastic material. There is no palm rest included, but EPOMAKER sells them to add to your liking.

On the left side, there is a pink lanyard for hanging the keyboard if you like, a cool design touch.

There are no LED indicators, apart from the Caps and Windows keys (white light when it's locked). This mechanical keyboard includes plastic heighters so the typing angle can be adjusted.

All keys are back-illuminated with several lighting effects:

FN + BACKSPACE Toggle Backlight RGB Effects
FN + | Toggle Backlight Effects
FN + DEL Change Backlight Colors
FN + Arrow Right Backlights Speed -
FN + Arrow Left Backlights Speed +
FN + Arrow Up Backlight Brightness +
FN + Arrow Down Backlight Brightness -

, while can be full-key hot swapping. There is also an anti-ghosting system called N-key Rollover, while many operating systems are supported by Windows Vista /7/8/10/11, MAC, and Android. Users can also use FN + SPACE (HOLD5S) to Reset the Keyboard to the Factory Setting.

At the bottom area, users will find two anti-slip pads and two plastic raisers to lift the keyboard.

At the back users will find the USB Type C to connect the keyboard to the host and a switch to select Win/MAC. With this keyboard, there is no 2.4G or BT connection method, only by wire with up to 8000Hz polling rate and Latency of 0.125ms.

All keys can be removed with the included tool and serviced or changed. You can replace different switches, and customize the tactile and auditory feedback you like, and is compatible with most three/five-pin pivot base mechanical switches.

Users can change either the keycaps, switches or the included USB cables. EPOMAKER has many different products for all users:
