The MSI Computer NX7900GTX-T2D512E videocard is based entirely on the nVIDIA GeForce 7900GTX reference design, and thanks to its large heatsink looks pretty visually impressive. It might appear big and loud, but the fan on the NX7900GTX-T2D512E is dead silent under heavy 3D loads. What a refreshing change compared to the loud stock heatsink on high end ATi videocards like the X1900 XTX. As usual, the software package that accompanies the MSI's NX7900GTX is current, and includes a full copy of "King Kong"...

MSI delivers a new motherboard with native CrossFire capabilities using the Intel 975X Express chipset. This board makes good on performance and stability in our tests and we think it will make a great mid-level gaming board if MSI can match it with a reasonable price...

MSI's NX7800GTX graphics card is undeniably powerful. Based on NVIDIA's G70 graphics processing unit, the 7800GTX can boast a core that flies along at 430MHz and sports 24 pipelines. NVIDIA have tweaked and fettled their NV4x series of processing units to reach the G70. On the memory front, this card comes with 256MB of GDDR3 running at 600MHz, that's effectively 1.2GHz (1200MHz) DDR. Although a comparatively large card with a length edging on 240mm, the NX7800GTX is at least a single slot solution. That said, the cooler is fairly industrial in its design and certainly isn't employed for show...

If pure 3D performance and high clock speeds is your cup of tea, the Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB has loads of it. If you want the best in eye candy, the Radeon X1900 XTX can satisfy even the worst HDR addict. Throw in all the latest advancement in graphical technology and the conclusion that this is one of the best graphics cards available now is unavoidable. It is also one of the most expensive ever...

For hardcore gamers, there is no other component in a computer more important than the videocard. Equip a state of the art AMD Athlon64 FX-60 or Intel Pentium Extreme Edition based system with a low end videocard and framerates will still crawl along... On the flip side, a high end videocard can breathe new life into an aging system even, and at the moment one of ATi's best video processing units (VPU) is the Radeon X1800 XT. The MSI Radeon RX1800XT-VT2D512E videocard that is the focus of this review incorporates Radeon X1800 XT GPU and includes and extra 256MB memory above the standard amount, for a whopping 512MB GDDR3. The X1800 XT core hums along at 625 MHz, and the GDDR3 at a remarkable 1500MHz...

The penultimate in our series of articles focusing on the Radeon X1800 XT 512MB from various brands, we have with us today the MSI RX1800XT-VT2D512E. Clocked at the default 625/1500MHz, it looks to be a typical Radeon X1800 XT 512MB card, but is it? Read on...

MSI does an excellent job with the onboard features such as the Creative Audigy onboard and two Gigabit LAN controllers, Firewire, as well as six SATA2 ports with RAID capabilities. On the previous K8N Diamond board, MSI had included a Wifi + Bluetooth PCI card and we would've liked to see that included with this board as well. But maybe it's a regional thing as we got the vacuum filter which certainly looks pretty cool. This board comes highly recommended if you're planning on setting up or upgrading to an Athlon64 setup. However, with the socket AM2 approaching (hopefully) in the next couple of months, we'd wait getting anything really high-end and expensive at the moment, including the FX60...

MSI does a reasonable job with the layout of this board as well and we did not run into any stability problems either. We would've definitely liked to see better overclocking on this board- that's one area where the board disappointed us. However, if you're not much of an overclocker, then we think that the MSI RD480 is a great board to consider if you're planning on upgrading your system...

Though SLI for notebooks hasn't arrived yet, MSI has taken that concept and applied it to the desktop using standard MXM modules. If low heat/noise output and reduced power consumption are important factors for your rig, especially in SLI, then you have to check what MSI has cooked up!

A bleeding edge part like the MSI 512MB Geforce NX7800GTX has an equally shocking enthusiast-level price tag... equivalent to the cost of a pretty decent Dell PC in fact. At the moment there are only a handful of manufacturers offering retail 512MB version Geforce 7800GTX videocards for sale. MSI Computer is one vendor with a card out in time for X-mas, and it has put together a good package that includes a full copy of the game "Colin Mcrae Rally 2005." Luckily for you, PCSTATS has managed to bring this monster 512MB card into the labs so you can see first hand what to expect...

The GeForce 7800GTX 512MB versions are here, and you'd better believe that 35 FPS from a single videocard in FEAR with 4x AA and 16x AF enabled, at 1600x1200, is a breeze with one of these bad boys! All this performance packed into a videocard that takes up an extra PCI slot, but is also quieter than the original GeForce 7800GTX's. Shocking performance capabilities, and shockingly quiet at that. MSI Computer is once such vendor with a 512MB version Geforce 7800GTX videocard out in time for X-mas, and it has put together a good package that includes a full copy of the game "Colin Mcrae Rally 2005." Nvidia's 6800GT was their most popular GPU based on the NV40 architecture and a few weeks back, nVidia replaced it with the NV42 based 6800GS. Although nVidia has cut the number of pixel pipelines from 16 to 12 and Vertex Shaders from 6 to 5, the increased efficiency in the architecture allowed them to increase the clock speed from 350MHz to 425MHz. Today, we take a look at MSI's card based on the 6800GS...
