The decision to choose between Zalman VF700-Cu and VF700-AlCu is pretty easy. The Cu performs better than the AlCu, and the 50% increase in weight is not that big an issue since the Cu is still much lighter than ZM80D-HP! On average, VF700-Cu is about 3-4°C cooler than VF700-AlCu, depending on the fan speed mode. So, if performance is what you are looking for, the VF700-Cu is clearly your choice.
