When we looked at the original Jawbone we asked ourselves "Is this the best Bluetooth headset on the market?" The answer was complicated, but the bottom line is that we thought Aliph could do better on the Jawbone. Let me tell you that this new Jawbone is much better overall than its older sibling. To arrive to the table at half the size and still retain the incredible noise cancellation features puts this at the top of all Bluetooth headsets we have reviewed here at Legit...

Aliph's New Jawbone Bluetooth headset delivers the highest sound quality in Bluetooth headset performance. The first-generation Jawbone and its speaker gave a fuller sound to its user than this second-generation version, but the difference in the New Jawbone?s size, style and comfort may outweigh what really is a minute sound difference. In any event, put the New Jawbone up against a competing device and Aliph's sound achievement will win ? we have no doubt.

There are countless units available from big boys like Motorola and Sony Ericsson. Of course, Plantronics is also up there too as we've reviewed one of their headsets (Plantronics Discovery 655) and gave it an Editors Choice. However, a little company based out of San Francisco has a headset that just might have all of them beat. You may not recognize the Aliph name, but you've surely heard about their Jawbone Bluetooth headset. After using the headset for a couple of days, I'm inclined to say that the Jawbone is the best Bluetooth headset I have ever used. Yes, ever.

People recognize Aliph Jawbones in the same way that they easily spot iPhones. These Aliph headsets are loved by those who use them, while everyone else in close proximity of the secret conversation mutters profanity. Showoff, that's what he is, the cockbite with that hundred-dollar Bluetooth headset. "Look at me, I'm Alexander Damn Bell." Aliph talks about the Jawbone (the Jawbone) like it isn't a headset. As though it were an idol for worship. And after the rebuking I suffered at the feet of their Cockney representative at CES, I dug in for this review with prejudice.

The Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset promises an amazingly clear call reception, regardless of how much noise is around you.

In our experience sound quality doesn't always come first with Bluetooth headset design. Don't get us wrong, we've reviewed other devices that sound great, but we've certainly reviewed devices that don't. In the case of the Jawbone, it is clear that Aliph's engineers put sound design first, which by itself makes the device an immediate winner.
