Over the last couple of years OCZ have been gradually spreading their influence throughout the hardware market. Beginning at memory they moved into the cooler and PSU game and now even graphics cards with OCZ branding have found their way into our stores. Today though I am testing one of their hefty PSUs, the GamXstream 1010w; lets give it a go.

A lot has changed over the last year or so, with OCZ expanding to sell not only memory but coolers and mice as well, not to add the fact they also offer a extensive range of PSU's. Which brings us to what we are looking at today, The OCZ GameXStream 1010w PSU.

When I unplugged the X1900XT from my system and plugged in the 8800 GTS 640 I knew a power supply chance was in my future since I could not even get a fan to spin. Thankfully, OCZ had sent over their largest power supply the 1000 watt rated GameXStream for us to review. This was impeccable timing since the second 8800 GTS that we ordered arrived the very same day. So come on along and check out the results of how well this power plant of a power supply performs.
