Sunbeamtech has left a clear presence in the hardware industry by developing a huge line of products and since a year or so they created a whole new premium series to offer cases and coolers. What we are looking at today is their Tuniq 3 casing which offers their patented 3D Core-Fan Bracket, tool free drive installation and two cold cathodes underneath the bottom to finish it off.

The main feature that is unique to the Tuniq 3 is the Core-Fan Bracket, a unique internal air traffic controller that allows direct cooling of different areas of the case. In addition, the case sports clean and a rather slick styling. Another feature that the Tuniq 3 seems to boast is the blingy lighting factor. It features fans with LEDs to help illuminate the insides while 2 CCFL (cold-cathode florescent lights) help light up the base around the case giving it a sort of floating effect. But will the execution of these features really allow the Tuniq 3 to stand out? I guess we?ll find out.

Since the merger of Sunbeamtech and Tuniq, we have seen many of their products share cross-company styling cues and design features. Sometimes it is difficult to say exactly which company is responsible for what. Take for example the patented Core Fan idea we first saw implemented on our Sunbeamtech Quarterback case review. Now we find that same technology applied to the third case design to come from the folks over at Tuniq, named simply "3".

I didn't think to record the running temperatures of the previous case to compare this one too, but in terms of noise, this one is ridiculously quiet. The supplied 120mm fans are rated at 16dbm(!) and the loudest component in the case became the CPU cooler fan. This was a nice result.

One small division of Sunbeam Tech has seen its popularity rise through the proven Tuniq 120 CPU cooler. Now Tuniq wants to expand its UK range with the introduction of a PC chassis and is looking for distributors. But what does the Tuniq 3 offer that might tempt anyone to take it on in this already crowded market? What does the Tuniq 3 budget PC case offer that might tempt any distributor to take it on in the already crowded UK market?

I'm a sucker for a good looking case. Heck, I could write an entire article listing all of the cases I've fallen in love with through the years. Yet, I'm fairly picky when it comes to upgrading my cases. A case pretty much has to have it all before I'll put my components in it: good aesthetics, great features and plenty of room. Today, I'm reviewing the Tuniq 3 from Tuniq, a division of Sunbeamtech. With a 'revolutionary' cooling system, ample room and a beautiful brushed aluminum front panel, the Tuniq 3 could very well find a permanent place in my computer room.

Ever heard of Tuniq? If so, you probably associate them with their Tower 120 CPU heatsink, but they also make cases, and today take a peek at their new Tuniq 3 enclosure. Can this Sunbeamtech company shine in a crowded case market, or is it lights out for their newest chassis?
