For those that don't know, the performance graphics card market is dominated by two rivals; ATI and nVidia. These two companies constantly play the game of "One Upmanship" with each other and recently it has been no different. As ATI released - after much delay - their HD 2900 series of cards, Nvidia brought to the market a hugely overclocked 8800GTX card, known as the Ultra. This card promised monster performance that would keep Nvidia as the performance king for that bit longer. Today I have the Superclocked version of this card from EVGA; lets see how it does.

Arguably the most interesting comparison to be made was the performance difference between the Noctua NH-U12F, which was using only one NF-S12 fan at 600RPM, and the GeminII. The GeminII trailed the NH-U12F by almost six degrees, which doesn't bode well for the GeminII's cooling efficiency. Even though the Noctua NH-U12F has some installation headaches, we don't think that this pitfall outweighs its otherwise very good performance. I'm sure with more powerful fans, we'll see more incremental performance improvements with the GeminII, but those gains would come at the expense of noise - the same could be said about the Noctua NH-U12F, too. With the fans we've tested the heatsink with here, the Cooler Master GeminII is a reasonably good silent cooling solution, but it's not a great one.

The strength of the Plantronics Pulsar 260 headset is clearly centered on streaming music from your A2DP enabled phone. The headset clearly shows its strength when using it for stereo listening. The controls are very responsive when pausing, fast-forwarding, etc., and phone calls are seamlessly transferred...

This review of the Mapower MAP-AL31CS USB 2.0 + eSATA 3.5" External Enclosure was my first introduction to Mapower and any of their products. Although the USB 2.0 performance was respectable, the heat dissipation was good, and the drive was kept nice and quiet, I was disappointed to see that the eSATA cable was not included with the product.

Elitegroup Computer Systems is known for their array of products from desktop computers to graphics cards and motherboards. At hand today we have their NF650iSLIT-A motherboard, which is powered by NVIDIA's nForce 650i Chipset and caters toward the computer enthusiast crowd, but can it really deliver?

The newest fan offerings from Noctua are real gems! They are quiet (silent, when used with the ULNA,) and move a respectable amount of air. While I hate to make generalizations about such things, these fans exhibit the high quality, innovative features and performance that products from this part of the world are famous for. Noctua has clearly set out to redefine what the future of quiet cooling will be, and if these fans are any indication, they have a very good start.

Thus, with these being more or less identical products, Creative has gone down the only path available: making it cheap. Currently the Zen Stone retails at around £30, making it more than £20 cheaper than the iPod Shuffle which can be bought for in the region of £55. For two products that share identical features this is a significant saving, and Creative's effort doesn't lack any style either.

The Lian-Li branding conjures up images of elegant case design that separates them from the average enclosure. It's only fitting that they should offer a Classical series, a lineup that looks to polish upon the standard rectangular chassis rather than try and reinvent the wheel. Today at HardwareLogic, we look at the Classical PC-A08 with its brushed aluminum and two tone finish, but can it's interior exude the same charm as it's exterior?

Back in the year 2000, a group of heat conductivity and noise reduction experts got together and formed Nexus Technology. Since that time they have become known for their cooling prowess with such products as heat pipe coolers for both processors and chipsets. With the growing diversity of the PC market, however, many companies have spread their knowledge and expertise into other areas. Such is the case with Nexus. The topic of today's discussion will be the NX8060, a 600W modular power supply that makes claims of being both stingy with your electricity (efficient) and also being very silent. With this company's background, we may be in for some pleasant surprises.

The Intel P35 has seen a pretty quiet launch with retail boards already in store shelves. The MSI P35 Platinum is one of the few early products to hit the market that will still be based on DDR2 memory, but MSI does manage to implement some interesting ideas and bag themselves a winner.

Antec, the makers of several user-centric cases, making the best use of space and always using tool-free designs. Today I have their current flag-ship model; the P182, which features noise-deadening panels and the first case I've seen with an optional spoiler.
