So here it is. A well marketed, acceptably manufactured, and very difficult to install cooler, marred only by it's substandard performance... it really seems like everything went downhill since I opened the box. While there are a number of good ideas here, they all falter on the same lines. Let's start with the simplest one. By layering the two sets of fins over each other, a lot of the heat dissipated just goes to return, and heat up the fins below. This isn't the first time, or the first company to have this problem, nor are they to try and alleviate it in a simple manner - put the cooler fins on top.

The Igloo 7223 Light E is a fairly compact AMD K8 heatsink, made just of extruded aluminum with a 70mm fan. The Glacialtech Igloo 7223 Light E is rated for a maximum load of 80W, and is very quiet. Glacialtech's Igloo 7223 Light E heatsink stands a squat 51mm tall and comes with a fixed speed 70mm fan that rotates at a quiet 2600RPM. Weighing in at a feather 256grams, the Igloo 7223 Light E is compatible with AMD socket 754/939/940/AM2 processors of 80W TDP.

Although ATI are taking all the top spots in the graphics card game at the moment, nVidia have their own offerings that promise good performance at a reasonable price. One such card is the mid-range 9600GT OC from Galaxy, which we managed to get hold of today. Let's see how it holds up.

GMC have designed the K-2 Ebony, a midi tower case combining the space and expandability of a standard ATX towerwith the feature-set of a high-end HTPC case. The Noblesse K-2 Ebony is a more elegant revision of the K-1, their first HTPC tower case which we reviewed over a year ago.

iStarUSA's xAGE-N99 HDD Docking Station is a simple, easy to use hard drive dock for 2.5" and 3.5" internal hard disks. It utilizes most of the transfer speeds that USB 2.0 has to offer and demonstrates excellent read and write speeds with a great price/performance value. For a company that has been making server and storage products for close to twenty years, iStarUSA certainly does not dissapoint.

The NZXT Sentry LX is not your ordinary fan controller. You can manually control up to 5 different fans and view up to 5 different temperatures anywhere in your case. This stylish dual-bay design has a color LCD display with an easy to view and understand layout. With the bonus of date/time/day and alarm settings among many other features make the NZXT Sentry LX a must buy for the avid fan controller fan. Read on further and you'll even get a look at a video of it in operation.

Generally speaking, spending more money in the mainstream arena nets you quite a bit more performance in some scenarios and if the 4670 hits closer to £60 than £50, and the XFX 9600 GSO XXX Edition manages to drop under £70, you'll find better value for money in the Nvidia part. Obviously, performance is higher, but it's also proportionally higher when you factor in cost as well.

Asus developed EzLink as a means to use an "easy-to-use" USB interface to send a digital video signal from the PC to the monitor without the need for additional graphics adapters. With EzLink, you are able to work with as many as six Asus EzLink monitors for multi-screen applications.

Today we are looking at the new Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. The keyboard is the first from Logitech that is backlit and not aimed at gamers. The first thing you notice about the keyboard is how thin it is. The 9.3 mm profile makes for a very flat and comfortable typing position. The PerfectStroke key system provides one of the best keyboards for typing I have ever used. The keys are very responsive, have great travel, and offer a slight click when pressed. Overall tactile feel is excellent. The typing feel is so good that the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is now the only keyboard I type on.

Now, phones aren't usually my forte, but when Samsung asked if I wanted to review their new MP3 spouting mini-boom box of a phone, I couldn't really say no. The real clincher was the Bang & Olufsen speakers embedded in the phone, which appealed to the audiophile in me. Unpacking it from its box, we can see that what the customer demands from a phone manufacturer these days is EVERYTHING. You get much more than just a charger and a little headset; with this phone we get a beefy looking set of headphones with in-line mic, data cable, software and a 1GB MicroSD card to boot.

The ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card is aimed at the mainstream market, which means those wanting to spend less than $100 on a graphics card. For that price range the Radeon HD 4670 offers some serious bang for the buck and the card that it most closely lines up with from a consumer perspective is the GeForce 9500 GT. For a user that doesn't want to worry about getting a new power supply or needing adapters the GeForce 9500 GT and Radeon HD 4670 are the two top picks that one should be looking at. After using both of the cards on the test system here on our bench it is clear that the Radeon HD 4670 raises the performance bar for what one can expect for this price range.

Zalman has been is the business of making heatsinks that do are made to do amazing jobs of reducing heat and maintaining a quiet surrounding. They have come up with a 113mm high heatsink that is specifically designed for use in HTPCs. It may be small, but it does and excellant job of cooling without making to much noise while doing it.
