?If you?re a gamer, chances are you know Nyko is synonymous with affordable quality peripherals. At CES 2010, Nyko is showing off impressive products such as the Wand+ and Charge Base Quad IC (Wii), Media Hub Slim and Core Controller (PS3), Speaker Com 360 and Intercooler TS (Xbox 360). Each product offers benefits to their original counterparts while retaining the same high quality and affordability that Nyko has always offered."

Nice third-party peripherals are few and far between, which is why I let out a sigh of relief when I opened Nyko?s Wand Core Pak for the Wii. The Core Pak includes Nyko?s Wand remote and wired Kama controller, which are replacements for Nintendo?s Wiimote and Nunchuk, respectively. I was surprised at how similar the Nyko controllers look to their Nintendo counterparts. Both remotes are very similar in size. The buttons have similar placement, but Nyko chose to use a square shape for the A, 1, 2, and Home buttons, as well as enlarge them slightly. The B button textured and the battery compartment piece is covered with a rubber-like material, presumably to prevent...

When it comes to Xbox 360 ownership, the term "Red Ring of Death" or "RROD" for short, seems part of the vernacular. This is typically caused by overheating of the system when engaged in long periods of spirited gameplay. When Halo 3 launched, many cases of these RRODs were reported, and a similar number of Xbox 360's were shipped away in little corrugated coffins for repair or replacement. That means that anything to reduce temperatures in our Xbox 360's is welcome and so does NYKO.

We first saw the Nyko Frontman for both the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation 3 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year. I was hopeful that the wireless guitar would hit retail outlets shortly after that. Unfortunately for all the shredding fans in the audience, it took about another six months before the Nyko FrontMan arrived. Has it been worth the wait? Are there any differences between the Wii and PS3 versions? Let's find out!

The Nintendo DS Lite is a pretty compact portable gaming system, and has decent battery life for the amount of enjoyment you get out of it. The DS lite also isn't the most ergonomic thing in the world: it is kinda boxy, and doesn't contour to your hands like modern console controllers. What if there was a way to enhance the shape of the DS while providing additional battery life?...

Third party peripherals are something that's usually avoided in the gaming world. I'm not saying that all of them are bad though. However, unless you want to shell out the big bucks for something very high quality, your results can really vary. Well, the good folks down at NYKO have come out with the Zero Wireless PS2 Controller, is it's price worth it? Will it prove once and for all that third party peripherals aren't as bad as everyone says?

The Nyko PS3 Intercooler is a new addition in a long, long line of cooling peripherals. This tradition of having to add on an additional cooling unit to a next-gen system only reared its ugly head after Microsoft's Xbox 360 "ring of death" mishaps. What happened to systems made reliably in the first place? Who knows, but fortunately for us, there's Nyko intercoolers. Nyko has created a beautiful, sleek, and innovative intercooler for our PS3 systems. The two-piece design fits onto the system extremely well and is so natural looking many of my friends thought it was just part of my PS3. So besides being damn sexy, how does it work and how well?

Nintendo has created their own grip that transforms the Wiimote into a handgun, but requires two hands, much like a Tommygun or crossbow. Many people have criticized the Zapper for its awkwardness, and it was only a matter of time before a third party invented a better grip. Nyko is no stranger as a third-party console accessory provider. They have a flavor or nearly every OEM's accessories, from battery packs to controllers, and have even debuted innovative add-on products, like their Intercooler. Nyko now introduces their PerfectShot pistol grip for the Nintendo Wii, which has several improvements over Nintendo's offering.

Since the dawning of man there where computers, and people who modded those ugly grey boxes. Since then was the birth of the Xbox 360, but you where delivered in the hands of the heathen gods that brought premade faceplates with lame designs. Now is the time to rise up and fight back with those boring faceplates.

If there is one thing common to all wireless controllers, it is batteries. Or rather, the lack of when you need them the most. Nyko has a battery solution that wants to pwn your Energizers. Does it have the power? Check it out!

For those of us using the Xbox 360 as the core of our entertainment system, a remote is a must. Nyko was very confident that we'd like what they had to offer. With the unique ability to "learn" remote functions, this remote promises serious control. How will it stack up? Let's find out!

Almost every device these days seems to be USB connected and use some sort of storage card. Nyko wants you to connect them all to your Xbox 360 and to forget about your PC. Will the 360 be able to handle the pressure? Let's check it out!
