From the two models described above you would think that all Coolmax is making are power supplies for the high end rig that many of us do not have. Well that is not true. Coolmax realizes there is a need for lower wattage unit that can provide stable and safe power to an everyday box that you would find underneath the desk of an office, in a kid's room or down near your very own feet. The new model Coolmax is labeled the V-600. If you were to venture to guess, yes it is a 600 watt power supply. The V-600 includes a 140mm cooling fan to keep your system running cool and a single PCI-E power connector for those that would like to equip their box with a mid to high range graphics card.

One company that we have not reviewed an enclosure from is Coolmax. We all know that Coolmax has an eye for making pretty good power supplies. But there knowledge of enclosures is just as big. That knowledge spreads over to their latest line of enclosures which is the 250 series. The series consist of three different models: B and L which both have eSATA and USB ports and there is a B model that just has a single USB port. We will be concentrating on the eSATA models which are more future proof.

Coolmax was kind enough to send over one of their more powerful power supplies. The CUQ1350 is the big dog from Coolmax and guaranteed to power the most extreme systems. The CUQ1350 is a small cry from the CUG950 we reviewed a few weeks ago. The CUQ series is not totally modular like the CUG but still modular. And a stunning brushed aluminum enclosure encloses all the power the unit has to offer. This is just some of what the new CUG1350 has to offer. What else does the CUG has to offer? Lets read the review shall we.

Once upon a time, a company by the name of Coolmax sought to impress me with two of their Green Power branded power supplies, and failed. Now, they've sent their biggest and baddest at me, the Green Power 1350W, looking to rectify the situation. How will the CUQ-1350B fare when faced by the usual stiff competition and rigorous load testing methods at this site? Come on in, pull up a chair, and I'll tell you all about it.

I recently received the newest Coolmax power supply entitled CUG-950B. The CUG-950B is near the top end of their power supply line next to the CUQ line. The CUG-950 is aimed at the gamer that want max frame rate from their video games. Being compatible of running multi-GPU systems the CUG-950 does it with good cooling and quietness. There isn't much more you can ask from a power supply except for stability. But it is that stable? We will try and find out for you.

Whether you're a hardcore gamer with a set SLi or CrossFire video cards or a hardware enthusiast with several hard disks and an overclocked quad-core processor, the power draw your computer created can quickly add up to an outrageous electric bill. With so many systems now consuming 600W or more of continuous power, consumers are beginning to find ways to conserve energy and save their money. CoolMax has joined the 80-PLUS revolution by offering their Green Power CUQ-1200B modular power supply unit, and Benchmark Reviews inspects their claims as we load-test this unit for AC power ripple and DC voltage regulation.

Coolmax seems to have a very good product in its latest power supply offering. The CUQ-1200B has impressive specifications, lots of connectors on superbly sleeved cables, modular design, and top-notch efficiency. The fit and finish is excellent and the attention to detail, from the packaging to the visual aspects and manual, is impressive.

As time goes by, we quickly realize how much power our computer really needs. You don't want a PSU that provides 'just enough', you want one that will help provide clean power and worry about it dieing. Today we are taking a look at the Coolmax CXI 600W, which will easily power most systems today...
