yeah! how do you back them up, and how will you fit a 12cm DVD into a gamecube? it uses (i'm not sure) 8cm 1GB media isn't it so?

so are the people at www.blade.cc telling lies? Or is there a way to get it to work? They do state backups will play once the gamecube has been modified, maybe i should email them and ask how to make a backup?

Homer

well, if he can tell people how to make the backups, I guarentee he'll sell a LOT more of those mod chips! I have a friend with a GameCube who would be VERY happy to have his originals safe and locked away (probably encased in cellophane!).

I do not own a gamecube (gay cube??) but have read up about this sort of thing:

The Gamecube spins the discs around anticlockwise and starts from the oppisite to a normal dvd player would (not sure if they start from outside or inside edge).

This would probably explain why you get no data if you read one and have no hope in making a copy with standard equipment, unless you re-wired your dvd writer to spin the other way???

Best buy a XBOX then...

good try crash over-ride
Unfortunatly, that rumour is false, and therefore does not explain the problem. Keep brainstorming though

If any of you bothered to look, they say that they have made a dvd drive that attaches externally to the gamecube and reads the dvd disks with the games on like that

Well, I never got a response, so I never had an update to post [xx(]

Is it possible? probably yes, in *SOME* manner at least.

Has it been done? I don't think so

Will it be done? Eventually, I'm fairly confident.
