Hi everyone,

learn alot from this forum, but first time post, i've tried the newer version of hdl_dump 0.7.3 which has Network support :-), with the hdl_dump GUI v1.1 with i found from http://www.marsgame.com/Soft/ps2diy/200410/82.html , i tried to connect ps2 hdd via pc off network no problem, i was able to view content, download game from PS2 HDD to my pc no problem, but when i tried to transfer games to ps2 Hdd, the network connection can't seems to stay alive, or maybe some other problem, i tried a few games, neither original copy or backup both unsuccessful?

anyone know this problem? if it's network problem, how to prevent me network connection drop off during game transfer?

thanks a million in advance

I think it's just a permission problem on your network, btw are you using cross over cable to connect your pc and your PS2? or you are in a network with a hub or sumthin'?

I dunno about this... acctually haven't tried to connect through network because my TV and PS2 is kinda far away, so what I do is just connect my PS2 HDD to my computer and walah using the HDL_dump its perfectly installing my games into the HDD. What I mean about the permission thingy is your PS2 did not alow you to acctually write files to the HDD probably only gives you permission to read the files only... you know when you connect your computer and your laptop using the cross over cable you can acctually share your internet connection and stuffs, but one of those have to act as server, which means that the server (let's use the PC for the server for now) can acctually browse your laptop shared files without any aunthetication to your laptop (I Know this cuz I also use that at my home with my brother's computer and my brother's computer can actually browse my computer's shared files without entering any username or password, but on the other hand I HAVE to enter user name and password to acctually browse the computer. Sorry to write too much things here I'm just tryin' to help

Thanks for this thread, I am a newb and will be getting my kit soon HDD, HDloader! I have one question though, I found a site that has ISOs of games already made for download, yes I know it is illegal to download games I do not own that is NOT my intention, with HDl DUMB could I just use that ISO as an install disc through the software?

well since this seems to be the HOT thread... I've been reading about using the little key usb drives as well as the memory cards as hd loaders. Anyone know anything about that?

Hi guys i'm new here and I need some help
I'm already preorder GTA: SA which from what I know won't work with HD Loader unless if it's PC Installed cause it's DVD9

What I want to know is, is there a site or guide somewhere on how to do this (the PC Install that is) 100% perfect with nothing else happening
cause so far I have 36 games on my Hard drive and I've read the some have had problems with their Hard Drive after doing a PC Install

so does anyone know how and with what to do it so that you don't have any left over problems
I need this game on my Hard Drive

thanks in advance guys

Why do you have to have it on your HDD, the game has no loading times? Except the inital load of course.
