Hi, I'm really new to forums and things like that, but I'm trying to do something and was wondering if anyone could help. I have a ps2 with the HDD connected and HD Advance. No problem there, but I got some games like god of war, splinter cell... that don't work on the HDD. I have manage to dl some files to try to crack em and also dl the games. The game is .mdf and .mds. Now some lil questions: When I dl the games do I dl a specific file or a Iso/Image? I do this because they are patched and because I broke my god of war cd [:(]. Second, if I dl the games, can I use WinHIIP or HDL Dumb to put the games on the HDD. I now how to put the HDD on pc or ps2, just the transfering thing I wanna be sure b4 I do anything. Tx

Thanks for the information on HD Loader.  Still, after reading numerous hours of threads I am still looking for a straight answer to my question.  I would like to network my PC and PS2 to transfer games between the two.  Many threads call for downloading numerous files and installing them but they do a poor job explaining what they do or how to install.  Does anyone know the best and easiest way to to network a PC and PS2?  I already own HD Loader and have all the neccessary hardware (PC with XP, PS2, HDD and network adaptor.)  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey all, question, sometimes when I'm using winhiip it will say there is not enough room on my hd to install the game, but I know there is b/c I just formatted the hd?? Is this just a bug or should I stick with hdl_dump and not use winhiip???

does anyone know if timesplitters future perfect works?
ive tried it on all 3 modes and on mode 3 its grey, plays teh game but its like vcr tracking... just scrolls on the tv really fast...

DVD Decrypter can do it and its free[;)]

I have got a PS2 with it's lens damaged. Is it possible to use HDLoader or HDadvance , WinHIIP & my pc & install my games into my hdd without PS2 ? I have got network adapter , 80 gb seagate hdd. Infact I used Winhiip & installed one game in the hdd. But I am not able to install HDloader into my hard disk. How to do that without PS2 ? Is it possible or do i need buy a new lens for my PS2 ?

I was wondering if HD Advance and HD Loader are interchangable i.e. if there is a patch for hd loader can u use it for hd advance?? Alot of the forums out there advise to patch hd loader for this and that, I have hd advance and it seem there is not much support for it. If there is and I just missed it can some1 post link Thx

hey i heard you can download a program to use like the hd loader any truth to that, i know you cant burn the disc but is there anyway you can download it and use it like the hd program for you ps2?

Does anyone know a way/program that will let me load the PS2HDD and edit the individual files of games?, I havn't seen that discussed any, and would be helpful to me.

What if you buy one of those External Harddrive and plug it into the usb slot.  If it doesnt can you give me a detailed description of how to take out the harddrive in the ps2 (i know how to put it in my computer) and where I can get the hdloader. by the time this is up i may already have hdloader so just tell me in case.[:D] Thanks for the help!

hey guys I finally found some people that know what they talking about it when talking  about adding hard into PS2, So please help me .
ok i have a maxtor hard drive and the network adapterand i also download the the two program WINHIP and hdl dumb that guys post it so what do i need to do to format the hard drive to a hdd format in order to my PS2 detect the hard drive  and later how do i add the game into please help if a anybody did it all ready  pleaase help me .....thank

Ok First off i gotta say this is the most informatible thread i've bein to
Thanks for everythang (Detailed Answer's) Emperor.
Ok enough said, all i got from reading ALL these pages was

Step 0: Have everythang PS2,HDloader,Network adaptor,
         and have Winhiip or/both HDL_Dump.Dont have them
         all? DONT TRY IT
Step 1:Connect your Hardrive(HDD) to your Network adaptor(NWA)
        then attach both onto your PS2 as you would if you we're going
        online.
Step 2:Insert your HDLoader into your PS2(Like a you would game)
        format your HDD.......so it's clear.
Step 3:Then Unattach your NWA and HDD and unattach both of them
        from each other.
Step 4:Put your HDD into your computer and set it a a Slave/Master
        HDD then use your choice of software Winhiip or HDL_bump,
        to add a range of amount of games to your HDD.
Step5:Take you HDD out and repeat STEP 1 then when you load your 
       HDLoader you should get the menu with your games on it .

Is that all right or not holla back Emperor might be missin some detailed info
but pretty sure its about right.Got all this info just from reading 1 through 19 pages.[8D]

Hi, guys.
I'm new here so be gentle.

I've just connected a HD to my PS2.
It's an exelstore 80GB 7200.
both HD Advance and HD loader recognize it and get to the menue ok, but when I try to install a game, after I put the game disc and press OK it freezes.
It happens the same, no matter which program or what disc format I'm trying.
I've noticed no one in the HD compatibility list had this problem.

Heeeelllllpppppp !!!!
