Is it just my nd-3550a or are all nd-3550a loud when playing movies? Can someone verify? I am not sure about the acoustic during the burning but this drive was loudest I have ever experienced during the playing..Do you think my drive's detective?

i don't think you should hear any noise, at least it didn't happen to mine.
But maybe you might get noise when you put the drive vertically? i am not sure about that.

The NEC I have at the office is much more noisy than the Plextor I have home. Use Nero Drive Speed to reduce reading speed while watching movies.
