hey i got a 3500a burner and got the 2.28 extreme firmware on it quickee made it i guess. I'm tryin to rip a dvd and when i do this i only get 3.5x max read which is ridiculously slow...any way to fix this, i'm using dvd decrypter should i be using another program.

Also can some one point me out to some dvd ripping guides and programs, theres so many i'm just confused i'm tryin to get a 8.5gb dvd to a 4.7 gb disc.

vv132 welcome to our forum, the drive will reach MAX 7X with DL media and 16X with SL media, when riplock has been removed, i don't know if quickee has removed riplock, i imagine he did...

As for ripping guides, its pretty simple, use DVD Shrink to rip the movie and compress the movie, there is a useful guide at the main site
