Hi!
What is exactly Auto Bitsetting vs. those fimwares that have command version 4 bitsetting capability?
Currently I use NEC-ND3500A 2.18 (
218btrpc1.rar) including bitsetting support for SL DVD+R and DVD+RW (from Mad Dog 2.FA), RPC1 & Riplock Removed (made by Liggy). This firmware has command version 4 bitsetting capability.
Is there a reason I should use
NEC ND-3500A 2.79 (TDK 2.79) Autobitsets DVD+R/+RW to DVD-ROM, Supports DVD+R9 DVD-ROM Bitsetting, RPC1 & Riplock removed, Supports Ritek/Ricoh/Philips DL media? This firware is Auto Bitsetting.
Both got the same new write strategies.
TDK 2.79 supports Ritek/Ricoh/Philips DL media, but exept for this, is there a good reason why I should use this firmware with Auto Bitsetting rather than the one with command version 4 bitsetting capability?
I use Nero to burn with. Does Auto Bitsetting just mean that I can change it within Nero?
And what is temporary bitsetting? Why would I use that?
Is it true that we will only be able to change firmware 254 times cause it is implementet in hardware?
