I use Nero 6.3.1.15.

When I'm burnig a DVD-R (princox4), the Pc switch off, sudenly, and windoes restart.

Get the latest firmware for your drive and install ASPI.

What is the configuration for your NEC? The jumber on the back where is it?

Stay away from Princo media. If you search in forums like this you'll see what I mean.

go to control panel, system, advanced, startup and recovery settings, and on the system failure section if checked, uncheck the Automatically restart checkbox. Then try again to burn media (using simulation if available). This time, if the operating system crashes and you get a blue screen, you will have the chance to write down the error message.

It could as well be a problem with the power supply. Does your pc restart by itself only when you write dvds, or has it happend randomly at other times?

I found the same problem and it turned out to be caused by Norton Antivirus software. Since switching to Mcafee I have not had the problem

I don't like them both. I still prefer Kaspersky antivirus.
