Why no mention of it's performance when connected through the USB?
Can it sustain highspeed burns with USB?

Yes it can but as far as I know firewire is more stable and reliable.

If the drive comes stock with both connection types why not test both connection types and post results?
Not everyone has firewire and would appreciate USB test.

No, not all tests with both configurations.
Transfer rates and is the drive capable of acheiving it's rated speeds through both connections...

yes you are correct, usb2.0 and firewire transfer tests should be added, minos might want to take care of it
