Both are good but if you can you should try and get a NEC/Mitsubishi. They are without a doubt one of the best monitors around!!!

Strengths:
Good picture quality where the focus wasn't off.

Weaknesses:
A very obvious focus problem in the lower left corner extending half way across the screen horizontally and 1/3rd of the way up vertically. No ammount of adjustment made any improvement.

Summary:
Despite a number of unfavorable reviews, I went ahead and ordered this monitor. Big mistake. The focus was off in the lower left portion of the screen. There were red and blue halos around light items on dark backgrounds, and everything looked fuzzy in general.

I returned the monitor and was refunded the purchase price, but I am out over $50 for shipping the monitor too and from my house.

My recommendation: stay away from this monitor.

I still like the CRT's monitors. I like to ply games and change the resolution to everyone I like. As for the refresing rate I like to be at least 100Hz. Now I have it at 1280X1024@120Hz.

I would really like to learn the testing procedure of this test. It seems very interesting and I would like to test my own monitor.

"Test patterns were clear and well defined in all parts of the screen". I think the image is not blur but a kind of sharpen, as they sais clear. Probably bad screen are having some blur areas.

If you want the Nokia Monitor utility that pcstats has for the tests, here is the link.

There is also a definition in this software for Focus.

I have the Samsung, and there are absolutely "no" problems with mine, it is perfect, and I am very pleased with it.

Obviously the latest. The regulations should be more strict at 03.
