Looks like I found a great inexpensive($30) backup compatiable with InCD and CD-MRW formated CD-RW disks. I downloaded the shareware trial version and so far it's been fantastic. I backed up my 1.7 gig C: partition on 1 and 1/2 650 meg. InCD formated CD-RWs in under 40 minutes and that included verification. The beauty of the InCD backup is it's writing directly to the CD-RW instead of creating a temp file and then subdividing that file to fit on multiple CDs. You also have the sector verification security that Mt. Rainier provides. Note, I have a slow Celeron 433 with a slow Bigfoot hard drive and the throughput was unbeleivable. AISBackup also supports other devices included the new Firewire devices along with the conventional CD-R backup process noted above. It also has a feature I am going to try next to copy the InCD's backup to regular CD-Rs for offsite copies and true disaster recovery if the hard drive crashes or your PC is damaged; although you can do the same with Nero Burning Rom. Also provides all the functions to make bootable CD. Finally, has a test restore option so you can determine whether the actually one will work before trashing your partition.
