I've just finished building my first computer and have a question, Ihope someone can help. I put a TV tuner card from a media center PC into a PCI slot and hooked up my cable line to it. the problem is when it was in the media center PC there was a program for it and I was easy to start, but now I have loaded Windows XP Home Edition and I'm not sure how to acctivate or access the TV tuner card. I was hoping windows might detect it and lead me through it. Here's a list of what I'm working with.
1: Intel 3.0E processor
2: D875PBZ motherboard
3: Western Digital Raptor HDD
4: 1024 Gb RAM
5: Verto GeForce 5950FX Graphics card
6: Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro sound card
7: Lite On 832S DVD-RW
8: Lite On DVD-ROM
9: Plextor 712A DVD-RW
10: All packaged nicely in a Thermaltake SViking Case.
sorry so long winded.. but BOY does that feel good! Anyway, any help on that TV problem sure would be appreciated

I don't seem to be having any success with this TV tuner card, I don't know why windows isn't identifing it like any other piece of hardware and loading the drivers and software automatically. any other suggestions or recomendations?

The old computer doesn't have a workable hard drive. But I think its an Evcap mui device and I updated the drivers. I downloaded The trial version of Beyond TV 3 but still no success but I'll keep trying. Keep the suggestions comming though I appreciate them very much. I've downloaded Everest Home Edition but I don't see anything that refferances a TV tuner. Wil it be listed under another name like a network connection or control hub, or sumething like that? The card came out of an hp media center pc.

you are confusing
first of is the card recognized in device manager? once its recognized and drivers are installed then you can proceed to trying software to use it.
