Thanks for the interesting test! The results echo the results of c't magazine 21/2004. In that, Pioneer was consistently the best in burning 16x disc. Of course, it didn't always burn them the fastest, but it burned them at best squality (according to CATS). So, for an ordinary user, who doesn't know about which media to burn at which speed, this is a very wise choise: the drive decides the fastest speed and gives good results. BTW, does anybody find it ironic that the inventor of DVD-R format got the best results with DVD+R media at high speed and that the inventors of the DVD+R format (Philips ~ BenQ) were amongst the worst :) The same was apparent in the c't magazine test.
