At the request of our good friend Halcyon, this post has been sticky-handled

The wishlist starts as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0. PNG save, instead of jpeg (jpeg isn't really best for line graphics)

1. All selections that user does saveable (i.e. scales, speeds, etc.)

2. Show "estimated time for completion" if possible (at least I can't seem to be able to find this)

3. Background color in PI/PIF changeable and grid removable (to simplify/unclutter the graph display)

4. All graphs colors customizable (not top priority, but it would be nice to get similar printable scans out of all major utilities kProbe, Plextools, DVDInfoPro, CD-DVD Speed, UM Doctor Pro II)

5. Resizeable graph/window area (so that one can get a bigger window and more detailed graph by resizing the window, like in kProbe/UMDP II).

6. Now that I have "Speed Line Color = Yellow Line" and "Graph & Marker = Green & Blue" the program plots "Speed" with Red, "PIE" with Green, "Jitter" with Blue and "PIF" with Yellow. Wouldn't it be more logical if the all of these selections were individual and by name (I.e. select color for "PIE", "PIF", "Jitter" and "Speed").

7. Color, scale and other graph drawing related selections dynamic, so that they can be changed after the scan is complete and the graph is redrawn automatically with the new selected Color, Scale and other variables (like in kProbe for instance).

8. Show PIE SUM / 8ECC in addition to "PIE peak" and "PIE Avg".

9. Label the graph Y axes sides (i.e. "PIE SUM / 8ECC", "Read Speed", "PIF / ECC", "DC Jitter"). I am now assuming that those are the right labels for those axes. Is the upper PIE plot really PIE SUM / 8ECC or is it just PIE SUM / ECC? Is the below graph really PIF / ECC

10. If the upper graph is PIE SUM / 8ECC, then show Limit line in the PIE graph (at 280 PIE).

11. If the below graph is PIF / ECC, then show limit liine in the PIF graph (4 for DVD+R)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the input Halc! As always, your input and thought that you put into your submissions to us is MOST appreciated!

Welcome back. I am really glad to have you around again.

Thats lots of work for me :). I promise I will look over it and do what I can. I get very limited time to work on the program these days with work programming deadlines, and its just me here ;) Leave it with me and I will see what I can do.

Yeah yeah! and how about a mod so the graph moves to the beat of any MP3's playing on your system at the same time

...sorry, couldn't resist

#14 - bitsetting for +R(W) single layer for NEC ND-2510A if possible.

It was said here that it could be done... That would be great to have this ability with native firmware.

PIF/Jitter for NEC drives. The 2510A being my first choice.

Until NEC unleashes that option, there is no way DVDInfoPro to add it

Gosh! I'd love to be able to burn ISO's and have a speed graph of it! That's the single biggest flaw with Nero if you ask me (no speed graph).

Also, now that there are other third party tools supporting the PX-712a's PI/PIF scanning abilities, will DVDInfoPro be adding it soon?

Yes that would rock ability to show write speed graph like Nero CD DVD SPeed does when creating data disk. but it would rock even more if we could show the write when creating a disk with a iso image....maybe you could get it to use Nero and interface with it....:) unless its going to get you in trouble

Can you explain in a little bit more detail: compare how?

What would the software compare to what?

I'm afraid I don't understand :)
