Wow! This thread surely has been (d)evolving from topic...

Anyways... I managed to get another MB for my primary computer. So much for good news, as my summertime luck continues so consistenly that you may soon call me Mr. Murpy? TITS, I broke a finger and now I have casket(?) on my left arm! Loosing the functionality of one arm makes rebuilding up a computer pretty hard. Even while I'm right-handed.

Now... is there anyone willing to buy (with 100% discount!) my bad luck away from me? Pretty please?

I'm pretty much just waiting what kind of disaster happens next...
Oh, wait... I know already: An hour ago I flashed new firmware (A304) into my LG GSA-4040B and guess what?
Update froze and I had absolutely no other choice but turn off computer after half hour of waiting!
After computer was on again, Win2K detected drive again and requested a reboot.

Drive seems to be functional (1 DVD-R burned successfully), but there is something wrong in it:
Max./Current read speed 63x and write speed 31x just cant be correct...

Oh, I know. This belongs to "Firmware" area, but as I think there's nothing I can do anymore,
I'll settle with drive which at least still burns...
