I just installed the EAC bundle (Eac 0.95 prebeta 5) and my ASPI is 4.60.

When I run EAC.exe I get the following error:

===========================
Unhandled exception
===========================
at 74617453 -> ACCESS_VIOLATION

Do you have any media inserted at any optical storage drive?

Yes.

I also tried running the program without any media inserted and it didn't work.

Are you running this program under WinXP without administrator rights?

Are you perhaps running DirectCD or InCD in the background?

Can you please let us know more on the hardware and software configuration of your system?

Can you do a clean system installation and be able to tell if the problem is hardware or software related?

Hardware 733 MHz PIIIE, 384 MB RDRAM, Lite-On LTN483S 48x, Benq 48x16x48 (4816A-N?)

Software not quite sure what you want

A clean system installation isn't possible at the moment (too much to backup).

Things like what kind of software you have installed. Particularly burning and multimedia type programs will help.

I downloaded that a few days ago from that exact link and the program gave the OK.

One of your applications is offending it appears. If you have downloaded EAC again, and reinstalled, this is the course of action, nothing left but something is not agreeing with EAC.

I've reinstalled a couple times and no go. Could it be related to my burner? For awhile I've had the problem of it giving me a power calibration error while burning with Nero. After another period of time, it just stopped accepting CD-Rs all together and keeps asking for an empty disc when I start the burn process.

If you are now suspecting a hardware error/problem, I would try installing the drive in a friends computer, and see if this cures the drive read problems, at least you'll know if it's the drive or software.
