JUST TO LET EVERYONE OUT THERE IN PEEPS LAND- THAT THERE IS A WAY TO
PLAY "PROTECTED" AUDIO CD'S IN YOUR PC!

I FOUND THIS OUT TODAY (5/9/02) - DONT KNOW IF ANYONE POSTED IT IN YET THOUGH...

1- IF U GOT A DVD-ROM DRIVE - BRILLIANT.. ITS EASY FROM NOW ON..
-I DONT KNOW IF THIS WORKS ON A CD-RW/ROM DRIVE THOUGH SO LET ME
KNOW OK! I TESTED IT ON MY PIONEER 104 AND IT WORKS PERFECT 100%

2- YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING APPZ--

* REAL PLAYER ONE GOLD
* WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER
* SUITABLE CD BURNER PROG- IE; NERO OR EASY CD PLATINUM

3- HERES HOW TO DO IT:

STICK THE PROTECTED CD IN YOUR DVD-ROM/CD-ROM DRAWER
OPEN WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND TRY AND PLAY THE CD WITH IT
IF IT OPENS INTO WINDOWS MEDIA - GOOD STUFF - IF NOT ???
STILL WITH WINDOWS MEDIA OPEN - START UP REAL PLAYER ONE
SAME AGAIN- TRY AND PLAY THE CD IN REAL PLAYER ONE
IF THE ALBUM COMES UP WITH ALL THE TRACKS AND THE ONE DATA BIT
AT THE BOTTOM- YOU'VE DONE IT.

JUST COPY ALL THE TRACKS APART FROM THE DATA ONE TO YOUR HARD
DRIVE IN MP3 FORMAT AND THEN BURN THEM ONTO AN AUDIO CD IMAGE
USING YOUR CHOSEN BURNER SOFTWARE- NERO/EASY CD IS THE BEST

THEN TRY THE FINISHED ARTICLE IN YOUR PC/HOME STEREO/CAR ETC!

PERFECT EH! -- WELL HOPE THIS ALL WORKS FOR YA 'ALL!

LET ME KNOW HOW U ALL GET ON @ ANGELY2KWORLDWIDE@UBOOT.COM

*** PLEASE NOTE -- ***

I DO NOT CONDONE PIRACY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM AND IF U DO SO THEN YOU KNOW THE SCORE!

-- BUT I STAND FOR THE RIGHT TO BUY A CD FROM A SHOP THAT I'VE
WORKED HARD FOR TO BUY AND I DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF INTO
BUYING SOMETHING THAT ONLY PLAYS IN MY STEREO! - BAD FORM SONY!!

CYA LATER YA'LL
CHOW 4 NOW!

Maybe consider your future posts to contain no CAPITAL letters?

Why would we want to go to all the trouble of opening up windows media player, then Real one Gold?????

Answer:

1) Open Tray Drawer
2) Open EAC
3) Have EAC Close Drawer
4) Rip Tracks
5) DONE!

Plus, in addition, there is NO better ripper than EAC for a 1:1 copy algorithim.

Plus all of this was done without activating the caps lock key!

EAC is an audio grabber loaded with features. It is arguably the best encoder on the net as it uses latest lame encoder to encode mp3z. plus its a freeware!

download it from here:

Hi Mate,

I would recommend that you ripped your tracks in wav format (i.e. if you have disk space to spare) and then write it to audio Cd as converting it to mp3 will cause loss in quality. Sometimes when you rip to bitrates like 128kbps and 160kbps you can even make out the difference in quality of the wav file and the mp3 (wav sounds better).

So if you want to avoid quality loss and have enough disk space then I would recommend you ripped the cd to wav and then write to blank cd.

Hey it seems that you forgot Plextools 1.15 which really works better with the Plextor 12x and higher plexwriters.[:o)]

RJW:

I still would argue that EAC is the best ripper for audio cds. Above you stated that it is an encoder, it is not. LAME is an external add on encoder for EAC. There are numerous encoder's you could use with EAC if you desired, however, LAME seems to be the best at this time! Enjoy!

Actually, yes MP3, new PlexTools v1.15+ is a better ripper than EAC as it currently stands - but only for Plextor units. PlexTools error correction techniques are currently producing faster and better quality rips than EAC is (especially with scratched/damaged CD's)...

Where did rjw state that EAC was an encoder, I cannot find that [?]

Razor stated that it was an encoder! A thousand pardons to RJW: I combined two posts into 1 without thinking (could have been the caffeine [xx(].

Besides, the original post by "THE GREAT ONE" indicated he had a pioneer drive, of what significance would Plextools be to him? I'm a little lost on that one. Of course, he did contradict his own post by stating he had a pioneer 104 drive and then stated to open Real Player, etc, but that "he hadn't tested it in a cdrw-rom drive" so i don't see how that is possible.

So anyway -----> <---- It Lasts Longer! -Peace-

I am not so sure about this people...Some tests with new EAC analyse software, showed big problems with C2 error pointers. Possibly Plextor drives are not support C2 error information with MMC commands, since the test results are so poor...
