I had to re-install Windows 2000 on my PC (long story there...), so I decided it's time to get rid of the Adaptec 'bloatware' and give Nero a try. I installed the following: Nero 5.5.90 InCD 3.31 Nero InfoTools 1.01 Adaptec ASPI driver v4.71 (I only tried this when all elase failed to see if it would help...) I can use Nero to burn CDs - no problem. However, I can't get InCD to work - it installs without any complaints and seems to 'see' my CyberLink CW058D drive, but it does not recognize CD-RW's that had been UDF-formatted and burned with Adaptec's DirectCD, not will it format or write to new CD-RW drives. Also, InfoTools behaves strangely - it always lists my CD-RW drive in the "Configuration" tab, but most of the time it does not list it in the "Drive" tab (it always shows my DVD-ROM drive in the pull-down menu, but not the CyberDrive). I found all kinds of material in the Nero website about potential conflicts with various drivers, but lot of the stuff there seems dated, and none of it seem to address the exact problems I am facing. Advice anyone? I am willing to try anything before throwing in the hat and installing Adaptec's stuff. --CDP
